(NEWS CENTER) -- Congress has a lot on it's plate for the next few months, but are members ready to act? Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) talks about the looming "Fiscal Cliff" and much more In The Arena with Pat Callaghan.
Sen. Collins says she's deeply concerned about the prospects of automatic cuts that will take effect in January if Congress doesn't come up with a new budget agreement. Those cuts could affect defense industry jobs in Maine and raise taxes for many. She talks about the prospects for action during the lame duck session following the November election.
Sen. Collins also discusses the lack of security at the U.S. Consulate in Libya when four Americans were killed, how to keep Iran from getting nuclear weapons, Maine's U.S. Senate race, and whether changes should be made in the Senate's filibuster rules.
