Around 90,000 people attended the American Folk Festival

BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER)-- The final numbers are in for donations and attendance at the American Folk Festival.

American Folk Festival Executive Director Heather McCarthy said about 90,000 people went down to the Bangor Waterfront to enjoy the festival. And those people donated a little more than $130,000 into the AFF donation buckets. McCarthy said that is the second highest donation amount in the festivals 11 year history.

Festival chair John Rohman said those donations are crucial for the folk festival to continue in future years. Those who attended got enjoy all kinds of food and watch one of the 17 performances that took place at the festival.
