SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A man from Massachusetts has been charged with operating under the influence, after crashing his car on the Veteran's Memorial Bridge in South Portland early Saturday morning.
Police say Daniel Thomas had flipped his Dodge van at the southbound on-ramp for I-295.
He was the only one in the vehicle and was arrested for OUI and taken to the Cumberland County Jail.
The crash remains under investigation, but it appears both speed an alcohol were factors.
