NEWS CENTER- Golf is becoming more and more of a young man's game. It's none more evident then at the 93rd Maine Amateur Open. In a field full of adults, two kids are taking it to the course and the competition.
For the second straight day, Recent Madison grad and two-time prep champ Seth Sweet was a 2 under 70. The freshman to be at Old Dominion is six shots up on J.J. Harris, who also finished with a 70 on the day. Rick Jones is in 3rd at plus 5 for the tourney.
The surprise of the tournament is 15-year old Will Kannegieser in 4th. The student at Gould's Academy is the son of two-time women's champ Kristen.
The 3rd and final round will tee off at 7:30 Thursday with pairings rolling from the highest scores to the lowest.
