NAPLES, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says one person has died and a second was injured in an early morning rollover in Naples.
Investigators say the crash was discovered by a person walking their dog. The 2003 Chevrolet Blazer apparently left the road and struck a tree. The crash occurred some time before the Blazer was discovered off the road.
The passenger, 22-year-old William Schneider of Falmouth, died at the scene.
The driver, Richard Griffin, 51, of Peabody, Mass., was taken by LifeFlight to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Deputies say his injuries are life-threatening.
Investigators say speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
