EDDINGTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --- State officials are holding a public hearing in town this evening to get the public's thoughts on plans to extend I-395.

The Maine Department of Transportation in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration sifted through 79 possible projects to expand the highway to Eddington. They eventually narrowed the field down to four possibilities, which includes not extending it all.

Officials will be holding the hearing which is mandated by the National Environmental Policy Act, at the Eddington Elementary School until 8 p.m.

Concerned parties will still have until May 15 to submit their concerns in writing.
