More than a thousand runners turned out at Brian Boru's pub in Portland's Old Port. This is the 15th year of the race, though it's hasn't always been this big.  It started out as an event for friends and family and has grown ever since.

Now organizers say the race has a life of it's own.  More than 1000 runner helped raise 14 thousand dollars for Habitat for Humanity.
