PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A high school senior organized a benefit to help orphans in Romania, Cambodia, and the Sudan.

It took place Saturday and was put together by Casco Bay High School senior Katie Cole at the Maine Film Studio in Portland.

All Casco Bay seniors have a five-page paper to write, and she'll write hers based on this benefit.  Cole came up with the idea because she wants to teach people in the community about what can be done to help orphans, and about the local organizations make that possible.

Two of Cole's classmates took part today by sharing their final products: A graphic novel about Sudan and Romania and a book about people who've done volunteer work in other countries.
