WALDOBORO (NEWS CENTER) - Randy Joubert and Gary Nisbet don't have any trouble answering that question. You'll remember them as the two men from Waldoboro who discovered this year that they are long-lost brothers.
That launched an amazing series of events that made the two national celebrities, a noteriety that then revealed an even bigger family than they imagined. Both agree it's been an amazing ride. Randy says, "I am so much more thankful. I guess fate...I believe in something. The odds against finding him are what, I don't know what the odds are, but they're huge. And what are the odds there was a half sister, Joanne, living just a few miles away? That led to them being on the Today show. That brought a call from another half sister in Florida. And a half brother in Biddeford. They admit it has been something of a blur, the trip to New York, the interviews. It's not over yet. People magazine is due out shortly, and they say the Today folks want them back. With all the buzz, the brothers say they haven't really gotten to spend time together, except at work. But they plan to make time. Randy says, "I think this summer we'll go fishing and do a few things, just little things I get to do with my brother. I get to say brother. That's pretty neat."
