PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Senator Olympia Snowe says President Obama's health care overhaul bill has a good chance of passage if Republicans and Democrats work together.

Snowe voted against the bill over the weekend in a procedural vote. She voiced concerns about the ability to modify the bill, as well as the cost of coverage to consumers and the government.

She says the true test will be in the amendments and how the bill can be modified, and the changes have to be allowed from both sides of the aisle.

Appearing on NEWS CENTER at Noon, Snowe said, "I hope they will be willing to come together and...be willing to work in a constructive, bipartisan fashion to get it done and to get it done right."

Snowe said while there is a lot of cost-shifting to be done to get the overhaul through, keeping coverage affordable and getting the uninsured enrolled are two issues that are not mutually exclusive.
