NEW VINEYARD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency has seized an alleged methamphetamine laboratory in Franklin County. Three people are under arrest and are now facing trafficking charges.

Last Friday, members of the MDEA's Clandestine Drug Labratory Enforcement Team executed a search warrant on Fenwick Road in New Vineyard.

Because of the hazardous conditions, investigators had to wear chemical suits and carry air monitoring equipment while they processed the scene.

Nancy Barden, 57, Charity Haines, 29, and William Christopher, 39 are all under arrest. Investigators say Haines and Barden live in Franklin County, and Christopher is from Missouri.

At the time of his arrest, Christopher was out on bail for an unrelated charge of furnishing drugs. He is now charged with violating the conditions of his release.

If convicted of the trafficking charges, Barden, Haines and Christopher could get up to ten years in prison.
