PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A legendary barber shop in Portland's Old Port is changing ownership after being closed for nearly a year.

"Paragon" held its grand opening on Monday, replacing "Bob's Barber Shop," though besides the name and ownership, not much has changed.

Former owner, Bob Mitton, was on hand for the opening, along with a number of his loyal customers and some new ones.

In the past 50 years, the shop on Fore Street has seen a variety of customers, from sailors to congressmen, all with their own stories.

The shop is now owned by Sunnan Allende, who also runs a barber shop in Saco.  Bob Mitton personally interviewed her before letting her take over his business.
