WESTBROOK (NEWS CENTER) -- Westbrook police have arrested a man they say stole money out of a Bruce Roberts Toy Fund donation jar.
Police say Zackary Locke went to a Dunkin Donuts in Westbrook and filled out a job application using his real name, date of birth and address. When the staff was busy with customers, police say Locke removed the donation jar, put it under his coat and went to the bathroom with it. He then emerged from the bathroom with an empty jar and put it back on the counter. The entire episode was caught on the shop's surveillance cameras.
Using the information on Locke's job application, police caught up with him a short time later and charged him with theft. He will be arraigned next month.
