Bangor Chiropractor Sentenced To 2 Years In Jail For Tax Evasion

BANGOR (NEWS CENTER) -- 65 year old Richard Thomas was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Bangor.  In addition to a 2 year jail sentence, he must also pay $15,000 dollars in restitution and serve three years of supervised release.

In February, Thomas pleaded guilty to tax evasion for tax year 2001. According to the U.S. Attorneys Office, he was originally indicted on six counts of tax evasion for tax years 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001.
