DURHAM (NEWS CENTER)--One person was killed in an accident in Durham Friday night. Police say a car hit a pole on Quaker Meeting House Road near Ross Road shortly after 8:00 PM. That person was pronounced dead at the scene. A state police reconstruction team was called in.
Police say they are waiting to make a positive identification as the car caught fire in the crash and the victim was burned in the blaze.
