Helping Hands Collects Food At UNE

PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER) -- The University of New England will find out in the next few days if it has helped to break a world record.

UNE is a client of Sodexo, a food service provider. Sodexo is collecting food nationwide to help food pantries through the holidays. The program is called Helping Hands.

Thursday was collection day at UNE.

And even if a record for the food nationwide collection isn't reached, local organizers say the response has been simply amazing.
