VASSALBORO (AP) -- The Grand View Topless Coffee shop in Vassalboro, Maine, is back in business. On Tuesday the town planning board gave Donald Crabtree permission to operate the shop out of an office trailer on his Route 3 property. Crabtree says he his planning to reopen on Wednesday. The opening of the Grand View Topless Coffee Shop last February angered many residents in Vassalboro, a small town outside of Augusta. Officials continue to investigate the fire that destroyed the shop in June just hours after Crabtree talked with local officials about making the business more like a strip club. Crabtree remodeled an office trailer to hold the coffee shop.
