AUGUSTA (AP) -- Gov. John Baldacci will march in Bangor's Veterans Day parade as Mainers mark the holiday with a variety of observances across the state.

In Portland, the annual Veterans Day parade will start in Longfellow Square and end with the laying of wreaths in front of City Hall. It starts at 10:30.

The Bangor-Brewer parade starts at 10:15 on Wilson Street in Brewer.

The Maine Wildlife Park in Gray will say thank you to veterans by offering free admission for U.S. military personnel and veterans on Wednesday.

Saddleback ski area in Rangeley is offering any veteran or service member from the Wars in Iraq or Afghanistan who served between January 2008 and the end of the new ski season a complimentary lift ticket.
