Manhunt Continues In Buxton

BUXTON (NEWS CENTER) - A man who was the focus of a massive manhunt in Buxton has managed to elude police.

David Sanborn, who'se last know address is in the town of Casco, has several outstanding warrants for his arrest.

He's facing numerous charges including burglary, theft and resisting arrest.

After receiving a tip that he was staying with a co-worker in Buxton officers from the U.S. Marshal's office attempted to arrest him.

He resisted, they used a taser on him, but he still escaped.

Then Buxton's police chief attempted to arrest him as Sanborn sat having coffee outside a convenience store.

" I approached him, identified myself, told him he was under arrest. He fought, I tased him, he took off, he just busted the prongs off", said Chief Michael Grovo.

That touched off a massive search as police used a plane and dogs to scour several Buxton neighborhoods.

David Sanborn is described as having blond hair and hazel eyes.

He's 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs about 180-pounds.

He was last seen wearing a blue parka and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Buxton Police at 929-6609.
