BANGOR (NEWS CENTER) -- U.S. Cellular is offering to give gifts of $100,000 to ten schools across the country.

All that people have to do is go to a U.S. Cellular store near them and fill out a registration form and vote for their favorite local school. No purchase is necessary.

The schools with the ten highest vote tallies will get the money. It part of U.S. Cellulars "Calling All Communities" campaign.  Schools can spend the money as they see fit.

"Last years winners chose to do things like upgrade facilities, one school fixed a gymnasium, another school added a playground, computer labs," said Sean Griffith, Bangor Sales Manager for U.S. Cellular.

Only schools that are in U.S. Cellular's service areas are eligibile. This is the second year of the campaign.
