Mainers Call For Change

AUGUSTA (NEWS CENTER) -- Mainers with signs and a clear message gathered outside the State House in Augusta Saturday.

They called it a One Year Warning to our elected officials, claiming that average Americans are not being listened to by Government leaders.

This is happened at the same time the House in Washington is debating National Health Care reform.

Greg Howard with the group Maine Change That Works claims 6-thousand handwritten letters to our Congressional leaders in support of health care reform shows the wishes of Mainers are being heard.

Still those carrying signs opposed to how government is being run say the only way to fix the problem is to clear out the State House next fall by voting current officials out of office.
