He was not home when his wife got up Thursday morning.

The Maine Warden Service and the Piscataquis County Sheriff's Department began a search near Howard's home on the Sangerville-Dexter town line.

According to Maine Warden Service Sgt. Kevin Adam, based on investigative efforts it was learned that Mr. Howard was at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
