BIDDEFORD (NEWS CENTER) -- Students and staff at Biddeford High School, along with some town leaders, are celebrating their victory at the polls. They held a rally Wednesday afternoon because voters approved a $34-million bond to renovate the high school. This, despite the fact that that bond will mean higher taxes for Biddeford residents. The school will be updated to be more energy efficient and to be compliant with current safety standards as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act. Construction is expected to get underway next fall.
