BANGOR (NEWS CENTER) -- The Bangor Region Influenza Coalition has scheduled a second H1N1 and seasonal flu shot clinic for Wednesday, November 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bangor Civic Center.

Kindergarten through high school students in public and private schools in the following towns are eligible to receive the free H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine: Bangor, Brewer, Clifton, Orrington, SAD 22 (Hampden, Newburgh and Winterport), SAD 63 (Eddington, Holden, Holbrook), RSU 14 (Hermon, Carmel, Levant) and RSU 26 (Orono, Veazie, Glenburn).

"We're working to get available vaccine to local school children as quickly as possible with the knowledge that our current supply is not without limits," said Patty Hamilton, Public Health Director for the City of Bangor and BRIC Chair, in a written statement.

Parents must sign a permission form in order for their child to be vaccinated.

At last week's clinic, BRIC distributed about 3,900 vaccines.

You will find updated information regarding clinic dates on the local Flu Hotline at 992-4527 or on the City of Bangor's web site at www.bangormaine.gov.  Click on Influenza Update and Preparedness.
