Catholics In Support Of Same Sex Marriage Hold Vigil

PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER) -- A group of Catholics held a vigil outside the Cathedral Of The Immaculate Conception Sunday morining in support of Maine's same sex marriage law.

The Catholics For Marriage Equality say the Church's positions same-sex marriage confilict with *their* Catholic beliefs. Church leadership has been urging parishoners to vote yes on Question One, believing marriage should be between one man and one woman.

Members of this group said Tuesday's vote will reaffirm their stand that Catholics have the freedom to support equal rights for all Maine families.
