PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER) -- A former firefighter accused of sexually abusing two teenage girls has been found not guilty.

Craig Rawnsley was arrested last October. He's from North Yarmouth. Rawnsley was accused of abusing two girls who had participated in the town of Cumberlan's fire explores program. The program provides training for people between the ages of 14 and 21.

The girls' mother was visibly upset when the verdict was read. Meanwhile Rawnsley's defense attorney says he's pleased with the verdict and expects a second set of charges filed against Rawnsley by the other girl involved to be dropped.
