KENNEBUNKPORT (NEWS CENTER) -- Red Sox Legends Rico Petrocelli and Luis Tiant were just two of the many familiar faces to hit the golf course in support of Gary's House. They were joined by former New England Patriots Garin Veris and Robert Perryman and former NHL players, and current Portland Pirates coaches, Kevin Dineen and Eric Weinrich to raise money for the house which provides a place for families to stay while loved ones are receiving care in local hospitals.
"When Gary was ill, we didn't have anywhere to go and it was very difficult because you are always at the hospital," said Trudy McNeal, Gary's mother. "We didn't have anywhere to sleep. We didn't get a chance to unwind and Gary's House, when you walk in, is very welcoming and warming and people can go back there and just relax a little bit."
This is the 15th year the Cape Arundel Golf Club has hosted a tournament to raise money for Gary's House. If you would like more information about Gary's House click here.
