PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER) -- There is a new exhibit being built at the Portland Museum of Art.

Next month the Portland Museum of Art will feature 17 artists whose work has been selected for the 2009 Art Biennial.

As you enter the museum's great hall, one of those works will be from Maine native Ethan Hayes-Chute. Visitors will encounter a ramshackle structure reminiscent of a hermit's wooden cabin.

Hayes-chute, who now lives in Germany, calls this work "Hermitage". All of the materials for the cabin were scavenged from dumps, woodpiles and landfills. The artist who has always envisioned himself living in one of these "homes", hopes visitors will get a unique experience from the work.
