ERIC SAINDON NOMINATED FOR ACADEMY AWARD
Maine native Eric Saindon has been nominated for an Academy Award for his work as Visual Effects Producer on the Peter Jackson film, "The Hobbit". The Academy Awards will be televised on Sunday, February 24th. Eric was also nominated for a BAFTA award for his work on the film.

Hailed as "extraordinarily versatile" by The Los Angeles Times, the swinging Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra features 15 of jazz's leading soloists under the leadership of musical director, trumpeter, composer, and educator Wynton Marsalis. If one person embodies the past, present, and future of jazz, it's Marsalis. Drawing from an extensive repertoire that includes original compositions by Marsalis, Ted Nash, and other members of the orchestra, as well as the masterworks of Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, among other jazz giants.
Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis will perform at Merrill Auditorium on Friday, January 25th at 8 PM.
