Sanford police seek man they consider to be dangerous

SANFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Sanford Police Department is attempting to locate 40-year-old Christopher William Gonyer. Police say Gonyer fled the Biddeford probation office back on November 4th and has not been seen since. 

According to officials, Gonyer is on probation for three counts of aggravated assault and assault on an officer stemming from a 2006 incident in which he stabbed the mother of his kids and a Sanford police officer.

Gonyer's probation has been revoked and he is currently wanted for arrest and is considered dangerous.  Gonyer has ties to Sanford and Old Orchard Beach, Maine, as well as Haverhill, Massachusetts, and Sandwich, New Hampshire, police say.
