President Obama's overtime pay plan blocked

(NEWS CENTER) -- A federal court has blocked President Obama's plan to extend overtime pay - a decision that could affect as many as four million workers.

a coalition of states and governors, including our governor LePage, sued to block the rule, which would have made more Americans eligible for overtime pay.

U.S. district court in the eastern district of texas granted the nationwide preliminary injunction.
currently, employers can skip overtime pay for salaried workers making a little more than about 23-thousand dollars a year.
