Man calls 911 after being shot in Portland apartment

Police ask for public's help to find shooter

PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police say a man was shot in his Portland apartment, Monday morning.

A 32 year-old man called 9-1-1 at approximately 12:39 a.m. on October 17, 2016, to report that he had been shot. 

Police say the victim was found alone in his apartment on Oak St. when they arrived. They say this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. 

The victim was transported to Maine Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. His identity has not been released at this time.
