Police searching for missing Auburn man with dementia, diabetes

*UPDATE* 9/14 12:17a – Ralph Libby has been located safe and sound, according to Auburn PD. The silver alert has been canceled.

AUBURN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — Police in Auburn have issued a Silver Alert and are searching for an elderly man last seen around 7 p.m. tonight.

Police say 83-year-old Ralph Libby of Auburn has dementia and diabetes.

They say Libby reportedly left his residence on Beech Hill Road to visit a family member on Empire Road in Poland and never arrived.

Libby is operating a 2003 blue GMC Sierra pickup truck with Maine license plate 8611A.

He is described as a white male with white hair, blue eyes and a skinny build, last seen wearing a red flannel shirt and green work pants.

Police say Libby is typically not out at night.
