SANDY RIVER PLANTATION, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A burned out bulldozer was the work of two men and maybe more, according the Maine Fire Marshal's Office.
The two men currently in custody at Franklin County Jail on arson charges are 37-year-old Alexander Allan and 18-year-old Devon Clark. They live together in Dallas Plantation.
Investigators said they had a part in setting fire to a Caterpillar D-5 bulldozer that was found by hunters on Tuesday in a swamp in Sandy River Plantation, near Rangeley. Damage is estimated at $100,000.
The bulldozer belongs to Cousineau Wood Products, based in Wilton. The business intended to use the bulldozer to repair a road on property that it owns. An excavator for the project was also damaged, but not by fire.
Investigators said more arrests in the case are likely.
