PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A bar in Portland that has yet to open is already stirring up controversy.
"Opium" is set to open in the Danforth Inn in June.
The owner of the cocktail lounge says the name was chosen as an ode to the art and culture in Shanghai in the 1920's.
But others say the name belittles those who have lost loved ones to opioid addiction, and many have jumped online to share their disappointment.
Despite the controversy, owners say they do not plan on changing the name of the bar.
