Fort Williams, Cape Elizabeth
When someone asks me where to go when they are visitng Maine, Fort Williams is always at the top of my list. The park offers the perfect blend of scenery and history. The view of the Portland skyline is unmatched. You can walk on the beach, explore the fort and visit the Portland Head Light. You might as well take some photos while you're there - everyone else does! Best of all? It's free.

Portland Sea Dogs
Here's a chance to see the Red Sox stars of tomorrow, in a great atmosphere. Hadlock even looks like Fenway. Jonathan Papelbon, Josh Beckett, Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia are just a few of the Sox standouts who spent a summer or two at Hadlock.

Boothbay Harbor
Boothbay Harbor is action-packed on land, and the busy harbor is just plain fun to watch. While you are watching the harbor antics, you can be enjoying a wonderful lunch in a coverted tugboat restaurant! Finish off your day with a walk through the quaint village where the buildings lend themselves to days of old. On the way south again. Cruise out to Mackerel Cove, all the way out to the end of Bailey Island.

Old Orchard Beach
It's worth a trip to Old Orchard Beach to people watch and have some Pier Fries. You can also hear natives like me reminisce about Noah's Ark, the donkey ride through the coalmine, the much longer pier and gentler times.
