Anthony Lord's guilty plea on hold

BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The man accused of murder, attempted murder and kidnapping all in a 24-hour period back in July of 2015was expected to appear in the Penobscot County Judicial Center Monday morning.

According a Penobscot County Clerk, it was expected to be a possible guilty plea but instead Anthony Lord’s attorneys, Logan Perkins and Hunter Tzovarras, withdrew from the case claiming an issue or breakdown of communication between them and their client.

Attorneys Jeffrey Toothaker of Ellsworth and David Bate of Bangor have now been appointed by Superior Court Justice Ann Murray to handle Lord’s defense. Lord has 17 various counts against him in two counties.
