PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Dr. Lou Jacobs lost his mother to a rare form of breast cancer and now his father is fighting Leukemia, so he's waging a war against cancer the only way he knows how... with his mustache!
Dr. Lou came up with the idea after deciding not to shave when his mother was first diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. He felt that life was too short not to grow a mustache.
This is how the fundraiser works: The more donations he gets for either cutting or saving the mustache, that will determine what he does with his facial hair.
He urges other people to join in the fun! One of his patients says she would shave her head for donations.
