Moose hunt meeting in Hallowell

Moose hunt permits

NEWS CENTER -- A public hearing will be held on Monday at the Ice Vault in Hallowell to discuss cutting down the number of moose hunting permits in Maine.

The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife wants to cut the number of permits down to 2,080, which is 60 less than last year. That proposed number would bring the number of permits down to their lowest level since 1998.
