APPLETON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — An Appleton man has denied firing a gunshot that disturbed his neighbors.
Knox County Sheriff's Office deputies went to the home of 40-year-old Lance Huff around 5 p.m. Saturday after a neighbor complained that Huff fired a rifle from his deck. Deputies also heard from witnesses who told them Huff had done that sort of thing before.
Deputies said Huff admitted to being drunk but denied shooting his gun. After searching his home, police arrested Huff on charges of terrorizing, discharge of a firearm within 300-feet of a residence, reckless conduct with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Huff is being held at Knox County Jail with bail set at $5,000.
