Low speed chase ends with two arrests on a N.H driveway

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (NEWS CENTER) -- N.H. State Police say they arrested two men with drug possession after a car chase on Saturday.

Police say 31-year-old Travis Tulo, of Durham, NH, and passenger, 21-year-old Kyle Haggett, of Exeter, refused to pull over during a police traffic stop. 

N.H. Trooper John Forbes says Tulo refused to stop the Jeep he was driving and led Forbes on a low-speed chase through Maplewood Avenue, at approximately 1:55 a.m.

The pursuit ended quickly after the suspect stopped at a residential driveway on Maplewood Avenue.

After a search of the vehicle, Forbes found approximately a half-an-ounce of Methamphetamine inside the vehicle and  arrested Tulo and Haggett without incident. 

Both suspects were taken to the Rockingham County Jail. Tulo is being held on $10,000 cash bail and was charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, DWI, operating after suspension and disobeying a police officer.  Haggett is being held on $5,000 cash bail and charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled drug. Both men will be arraigned on Monday, November 7, 2016, in the 10th Circuit Court- District Division, Portsmouth.
