Limerick man accused of terrorizing woman

LIMERICK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — A man from Limerick was arrested Saturday after allegedly harassing a woman on the road.

Charles Freeman was charged with driving to endanger, terrorizing and violating conditions of release.

Police said a woman called them from Gorham late Friday night, telling them a man in another car was harassing her, following her car and trying to run her off the road.

The woman told police she kept trying to get away from him, but he would speed up and remain close before backing off.

She stayed on the phone with dispatch until officers were able to intercept Freeman.
