Artist dedicates mural on Flag Day

AUBURN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Governor LePage celebrated Flag Day at the dedication of a new mural for American Legion Post 31 in Auburn.

Flag muralist Scott LoBaido, who is on a 50-state "Painting Flags Across America Tour," revealed the massive flag mural created exclusively for the American Legion Post. LoBaido is halfway through his tour.

He said Sunday's ceremony was special, because he got to meet John Hark, the great-great-great-great grandson of Betsy Ross, who lives in Mount Vernon.

The paintings are meant to honor the men and women who have fought for our country.
