Homeowner thwarts one of two home invasions with weapon, police say

BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER -- Police are investigating two early morning home invasions in Bangor Friday.  
Police officers said they were called to a home on Lincoln Street at approximately 12:37 a.m., for an attempted home invasion.  Police say two males forced their way through the door of the apartment.  The suspects ran away after the victim called 9-1-1 and confronted the suspects with a weapon. 

 Approximately one hour later, at 1:33 a.m., the Bangor Police Department were called to another home invasion report on Bolling Drive.  Police say two men entered this home through a back door and demanded money or drugs from the victim.  After a brief struggle between the resident and one of the suspects.  The two male suspects fled the scene after the resident ran to call police from a neighbor’s home, according to police. 
The male victim who confronted the suspects suffered minor injuries.

Police say the Criminal Investigation Division is currently investigating both cases and no further details will be released while the investigation is underway.
