FRYEBURG, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Officers have arrested an 18 year-old they said fled the scene of a domestic violence situation.
Fryeburg Police were called to Lovewell Pond Road yesterday around 2:30 Saturday morning for a reported domestic violence situation.
A 19-year-old victim was treated on the scene.
Officers from Bridgton assisted in searching for Jordan Ward well into the morning. Police eventually found him at Thriftway Supermarket.
Ward has been charged with domestic violence assault and is scheduled to appear in court in July.
"We have seen an increase in domestic related calls this year and will take all steps necessary to protect the victims and hold offenders accountable during all domestic violence situations we respond to" said Chief Joshua Potvin.
