Fire at Arundel breeding kennel

ARUNDEL, Maine (NEWS CENTER)  — The fire marshal is investigating a fire at a breeding kennel in Arundel that killed at least two dogs and several bunnies. 


The fire started around 11 p.m. Tuesday night on Irving Road at Superior Kennels. A fuel tank tipped over during the fire and the spill was contained. Hazmat crews are expected later to finish cleaning up the mess. 

 

 

Hazmat crews will be on scene to clean up the mess. Fire crews had trouble getting water to the blaze and had to truck water in from Dutch Elm Golf Club, about a mile away.
