Fairfield Police investigate possible meth lab

FAIRFIELD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Maine Drug Enforcement Agents and Fairfield Police continue to investigate the makings of a methamphetamine lab in Fairfield.

Fairfiled Police went to a home on Serenity Circle to serve a search warrant on an unrelated matter and made the discovery Wednesday.

During the search, officers discovered material consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine. This information was relayed to agents with MDEA's South Central Task Force. A second search warrant was drawn up by MDEA to seize the lab related material. Agents were able to take custody of the evidence without the need for a full MDEA lab team response.

No arrests have been made and MDEA and Fairfield Police continue to investigate the discovery.
