Domestic dispute in Warren leads to stabbing, officials say

WARREN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Knox County Sheriff's Office says a man was charged with domestic violence assault after an argument between a couple ended with a man being stabbed in the hand.

Officials say 44-year-old Lauren Tozier of Warren was charged when they were called to a home in Warren Sunday around 10:30 for a domestic dispute. A third person called 911 to report the incident and said the man who was stabbed had left the house with his whereabouts unknown.

When deputies arrived, they found blood spatter all over the deck and exterior of the door of the house. No one had responded to their knocks, forcing them to force their way in concerned for the safety of whoever was inside. Once inside they found the woman in her bedroom.  \Deputies were notified a short time later that the man had gone to the hospital for treatment of the stab wound to his hand. 

Investigators determined that the man, Lauren Tozier, 44, of Warren was to be arrested and charged with domestic violence assault and violation of conditions of release. Tozier remains at the Knox County Jail.
