Crews put out fire at extended-stay hotel in Scarborough

Scarborough hotel fire quickly extinguished

SCARBOROUGH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — Crews made sure a fire was put out at an extended-stay hotel in Scarborough on Sunday afternoon.

Extended Stay America on Ashley Drive was evacuated but no one was hurt.

Scarborough FD said something caught fire on the stove in a room, which resulted in smoke spreading to the building's first floor.

They said the affected room is blocked off, but everyone has since been allowed back inside.
