Cornish man arrested and charged after firing gunshots inside home

YORK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police say a local man is behind bars for firing gunshots inside a home in Cornish, Saturday. 

36-year-old Matthew Robinson, of Cornish, was arrested after York police received calls that gunshots were being fired in the area of 2 Main Street at approximately 7:30 p.m.

After interviewing witnesses, deputies tracked the gunshots to Robinson's home on Main St. and recovered a .357 handgun.

He was charged with reckless conduct with a firearm and discharging a firearm within 100 yards of a dwelling.

Robinson is at the York County Jail on $2000 bail. He is scheduled to appear via video arraignment Monday if he does not make bail.
